Two calendars, one screen

Two professionals on a video call, two tiles on a single screen

Listen to the story

Simone is looking for someone who already speaks the language of property and liquidity. Eliana is looking for something concrete to put into her clients’ hands. Between Biella and Milan, a video call that starts cautious and ends with a virtual handshake.

There is a moment, before every call, when the cursor hovers still over the green button. Eliana knows it well: five years in real estate have taught her to sense within seconds who truly wants to build something and who only wants to take. That afternoon, in front of the screen, a single question circles in her mind: what if this is yet another network I leave with more obligations than opportunities?

Three hundred kilometres away, in the province of Biella, Simone is waiting too. His job is to find people — investors, professionals, those with entrepreneurial vision — on behalf of The Bridge Strategy. He knows that most of the time he has to explain everything from scratch: what a redevelopment operation is, why the timelines are what they are, where the risk lies. This time, reading the profile on the other side, he suspects he can skip the introductions.

The video call opens. Two tiles, two different lights, the slightly stiff politeness of the first few seconds. Then Eliana says something simple — something about her clients who, after buying a home, ask her and now, where do I put this liquidity? — and Simone stops selling. He sits up. Because it is exactly there, in that question she hears repeated and to which she has so far answered with a shrug, that their two calendars line up.

She is not someone to be converted. She works with Von Poll, an international brand, and by the nature of her work she moves among financial advisors, accountants, architects, insurance agents. She already speaks the language of property: she knows what it means to buy, renovate, resell. Simone has nothing to teach her. He only has to hand her a new tool — access to pre-selected real estate operations — that she can offer to her trusted professionals without stepping on her own work.

And this is where the conversation changes temperature. It is no longer about who earns what. It is about positioning: Eliana becoming, for her network, the person who brings the right deals to the right people. Simone finally finding a channel that already thinks in his own logic. The initial wariness dissolves into that rare thing between two strangers — recognising each other.

There is a detail that makes everything lighter, and they both feel it without having to think about it too much: behind Simone there is a company, The Bridge Strategy, that does not ask for trust in words alone. It has committed in writing to reward those who bring value. That is why Simone moves first, without calculating, without keeping his cards covered — because he already knows that on the other side the outstretched hand will be shaken. It is the old pact, the one made looking each other in the eye even through a screen: those who help each other, help each other.

Towards the end, the tone becomes almost familiar. They discover each other in small things — she practises yoga to release the tension of the job, he follows his daughter’s volleyball matches every weekend. The call lasts just the right amount of time, but when the two tiles close something remains that was not there before: one more name to count on.

Eliana leaves five stars. Simone closes his laptop knowing that next time he will not have to start from zero. Between Piedmont and Lombardy, a bridge that is not only in the company’s name.
